How do I add Content Pages linked from the left column?

The following procedure explains how to add a custom content page that is NOT part of the main (top) navigation.  This is a very powerful feature because it allows you to create robust content items any place on your site, without adding more main navigation buttons.

1. Log in as Webmaster, and click on the "Edit Site" link.
  1.
  2. 2. Click Include Content at the bottom of the left column and select Navigation from the Content Type drop-down menu.
  •      - Leave CREATE NEW for the Navigation Section
  •      - Give the new section a Title that will display
  •      - You can change the name that's stored in your database if you choose.
  •      - Click Submit
  1.
  2. 3. The "Edit Navigation" popup will appear.
  3.
  4. 4. Click "Add Navigation Link" and select your desired content type for the new page you are creating, giving it a Display title (let's say, "Just For Parents"). You can add as many as you like here, or come back and add more later.
  5.       - Click Submit.
  6.
  7. 5. Close the popup once the order of links is as you like them using the up and down arrow buttons.
  8.

6. Now, you should be looking at your page with the "Just For Parents" link in Left Navigation. Click on that link. You wlil see the main content section will be blank with a "include content" button (assuming you're still in "Edit Site" mode).

7. Click on the "include content" button and now you can add whatever content type you normally can add to a regular page.
Whenever someone clicks the item in Left Navigation, your content page will come up.

Extra Trick:

You can link to this page, with your Content Page visible from any place in the site - just copy the URL from the top of the page and use that as a hyperlink. Make sure you target the Hyperlink as "Topmost Window" so it replaces the page when it loads.
